Description
The Botanical Garden preserves its original layout, including the colossal Platanus hispanica, listed among Italy’s monumental trees (planted in 1778, it stands 45 meters tall), the Scopoli Greenhouses (designed by Giuseppe Piermarini), the flower beds, and some fountains. It also hosts the Pavia Tea Bed, the Rose Garden with 184 botanical, ancient, and modern roses, and the Forbidden Vineyard with American and hybrid vines.
