The Pavia University History Museum will be open for a few more days before early summer closing, due to extensive maintenance work. Visitors may visit the collections from Monday the 3rd to Friday the 7th of July during usual opening hours, indicated on the page http://musei .unipv.eu/msu/visit/hours-of-opening/.

Special openings are also scheduled on Saturday the 8th, Sunday the 9th, Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of July; on these days the Museum will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM and will offer a guided tour of the collections and of the temporary exhibition “Notes for a journey into the beauty of the human body” at 4.30 PM. Special tour guide for the visit to the exhibition will be scientific illustrator Gian Battista Ricci, who owns some of the beautiful artwork on display and who will explain the techniques used in work that was of paramount importance for the study of the human body. Indeed, the “journey into the beauty of the human body” in which doctors and anatomists embarked was mostly a solitary one; however, these extraordinary men often found the invaluable assistance of unexpected friends: artists.

The Museum will be closed on the remaining days of the month of July and for the entire month of August, returning to welcome visitors from the 4th of September 2023, with many events and activities!
